The SET A set of foams (for the bottom and front of the helmet) is included in the price of the helmet. The SET B foam kit (for the sides) must be purchased in addition to the helmet. The 2 types of foam are absolutely essential for port helmets. Foams are machine-washable at 30 degrees, but should not be tumble-dried.
SERVICE
You have a 5-year warranty from the date of helmet manufacture to request an overhaul of your helmet.
The Référence collection is the most sober and discreet version of the Antarès helmet. The shell is completely matte, and the details are chrome-plated.
Customize your helmet Antarès
If you wish, you can change the colors of the bar, headband and triangle to create your own unique helmet. The classic version is chrome-plated. It's up to you to choose the helmet customization colors you want! We've written a blog article on helmet customization to make it easy for you.
Composition of your riding helmet Reference
The shell
The helmet's outer shell is made of ABS. Its role is to disperse impact energy over the helmet's surface. When your helmet strikes an object, the shell distributes the shockwave and dissipates it. Rigid and lightweight, it is renowned for its high resistance to scratches.
The liner
Made from EPS (expanded polystyrene), it absorbs the energy emitted by the impact by shrinking. As a result, the pad becomes much denser. Density varies according to helmet size. To see the effects of impact on the pad, see our blog post.
Ventilation
Its 4 front vents and 2 rear extractors ensure good air circulation. Thermal regulation is enhanced.
The retention system
The harness ensures that the helmet stays securely on the rider's head. It consists of 3 points. The Y-shape of the fastening system has points further apart, which reduces helmet rotation. The straps are made of nylon and the buckles of POM.
A little extra: Antarès harnesses are made of leather from the offcuts of our custom-made saddles.

Helmet pads
In contact with the rider's head, our top-of-the-range foam pads ensure a perfect fit and optimum comfort for your riding helmet. Whether your head shape is round or oval, they'll complement your morphology. Removable, these internal pads can be regularly removed and cleaned to keep the bomb clean. Made from Italie, they are breathable, OEKO-TEX® certified and hand-washable in warm water.

Cross visor
The short visor has been designed to meet the requirements of cavaliers eventing on a cross-country course and protect the rider in the event of a fall. European standard EN1384-2017 requires the visor to bend when a load is applied to it. This prevents the visor from breaking and injuring the rider. The visor on Antarès helmets is therefore deliberately flexible. In the event of deformation, it can be manually manipulated to restore its original shape.
The helmet bag is ideal for protecting and transporting your helmet with ease. It's thought out down to the smallest detail, with a large central pocket and a large zipper for easy helmet storage.
Riding helmet safety
Riding helmets are of paramount importance to the safety of all riders, whatever their level. All our models are CE marked and SEI certified. They have successfully passed the EN1384-2017 / VG1 01.040 2014-12 standards.
Please pay particular attention to your helmet. As our impact tests have shown, the safety of your helmet is no longer optimal if the liner has retracted. Even without any outward sign of a fall. That's why you need to change your riding helmet after a fall.
We recommend replacing your helmet within 5 years of purchase, even if there has been no impact or damage.
