Designed with two side pockets, it comes with two whole pairs of wedges, one pre-cut pair and one pair of small front inserts. All wedges can be cut to your needs and then inserted into the pad. The pockets close with a hook-and-loop velcro that will keep your wedges in place. We chose a single pocket as every horse is different, allowing you to position your wedges exactly where you really need them. Ideal during muscle loss or a change in body shape, our wedge pad fills gaps between the horse and saddle, providing maximum comfort thanks to our wool felt. And then? When you no longer need them, simply remove the wedges to have a classic pad. You can vary the thicknesses of 10, 15, or 20mm by inserting whole wedges. Made from 100% high-quality wool felt, our pad allows for maximum shock absorption for extreme comfort under the saddle. Wool felt, due to its airy structure, is one of the best shock absorbers. It’s an excellent memory foam pad, thermoformable under the heat given off by the horse, thus adapting perfectly to your horse’s shape! Great comfort for both horse and rider: better saddle stabilization, reduced back problems for the horse, and great relaxation.
