The SHELL PAD II le Tixerant is an evolution of the premier model to make it easier to use. The reinforcement at the level of the withers ensures that the rug is fixed and frees the withers from any pressure caused by the natural rotation movement of the rug. This system prevents the rug from compressing the first dorsal vertebra and collapsing on the withers (keystone of the spine). This is beneficial for the horse, which, freed from these constraints, regains the balance essential to its performance. The SHELL PAD II can be combined with the conformator, which will ensure a better connection between the saddle and the horse's back, resulting in a better distribution of the rider's weight and the girth's pressure. The conformator comes with two layers of foam of different density. These foams are interchangeable in order to adapt the conformator to the needs of the horse.
