LeMieux Girth scabbard for dressage horses

These luxurious strap covers are half lined with soft merino lambswool and are ideal for preventing chafing and pinching, maximizing comfort and ease of movement. The new design features a length extension to fully support the ends of the strap and prevent unwanted pressure. Two separate elastic loops accommodate the webbing straps and hold the cover in position, preventing rotation. These beautiful covers are the perfect complement to the look competition LeMieux!

Fitting Instructions:

It is essential to properly adjust the two center velcro straps to prevent the cover from slipping off the strap. Pull the first Velcro strap over the strap and tuck the end under the strap. Then pull the top Velcro strip firmly in the other direction and fasten it, creating a "point pinch" for maximum security of the cover. Make sure the tabs are facing backwards when attaching the cover to your strap (as shown in the pictures).

• Remove hair, dirt and dried sweat with a stiff brush.


• Machine wash at 30° on the fresh/wool cycle or by hand.


• Use wool wash Lemieux (available from Horse Health).


• Smooth/flatten cotton fabric after washing.


• Air dry near a heat source. Never tumble dry.


• Avoid using harsh cleaning products.


• Warning: In rare cases, dye from black wool items can seep into wool items and give them a slight blue tint. Grey coats may be stained.
