Meadow pump

This kit with hose and float for meadow pump supplies water to your grazing tank, preventing contamination of the water by animal droppings and stopping erosion of river and stream banks by livestock. An easy, reliable and self-sufficient way of supplying water to livestock when watercourses are fenced off. This maintains water quality at a high level and preserves the healthy growth of local flora and fauna.

For optimal operation of the prairie pump, it is ESSENTIAL to integrate a 60W solar panel (Ref.119150002) or 2 x 30W solar panels (Ref.125340), as well as a battery of sufficient capacity 85 Ah (Ref.119150004). We strongly recommend the complementary products below to ensure proper operation of the equipment.
Farmers increasingly need to keep their livestock away from watercourses. The European Water Framework Directive (WFD) establishes a framework for the protection of inland waters, transitional waters (estuaries), coastal waters and groundwater. Watercourse fencing offers protection against bank erosion.
Solar-powered, battery-powered meadow pump kits can be integrated into tous standard water troughs. The solar pump supplies the animals with their water needs without having to change or recharge the battery (depending on storage density, weather conditions, etc.). These kits are simple 12V pumping systems based on water pump technology to enable the transfer of large s of water. The kit is fitted with a float that activates the submersible pump when the water level drops.
The pump is connected to a 30m-long hose that leads directly from the source to the tank. The unit is powered by a 12V battery (not included in the kit) housed in a weatherproof case. We recommend an 85 Ah battery.
The water requirements of animals vary greatly, and are influenced by temperature, humidity and feed type, among other factors autres. The majority of grazing animals are herd animals and want to drink together, so the size of the trough should allow for this. By increasing the height, pumping capacity is reduced. At a height of 10 m, the pump runs at around 65% of its maximum performance. Solar energy charging times vary according to weather conditions. Remember that in summer, the animals' water requirements increase.
