Backpack Palisades

The Palisades met bag brings the deepest backcountry to you and your dog. Our most voluminous bag, it's designed for multi-day hikes with roomy saddlebags featuring a cross-load compression system for stable, comfortable transport of gear. The panniers attach securely to the breathable harness frame and can be removed at camp to lighten the load on excursions.

Multiple pockets and an external zipper allow you to store and organize your dog's trekking essentials, such as a sleeping system, food and even two collapsible hydration bladders supplied with the bag.

It's recommended that your dog carries no more than 25% of his body weight, including the weight of the bag and its contents. If your dog is new to dog backpacks, start with a light load and increase it as your dog gets used to carrying the bag.

What's new: Palisades has a long history in the Ruffwear bag range, and this season's updates were inspired by customer feedback. More breathability and flexibility thanks to a molded and perforated foam chassis, better colorfastness thanks to new materials, an updated closure stop system for easier use when stabilizing panniers, a new storage pocket configuration.
