With fasteners at the D-rings, girths and the girth itself (between the horse's legs), this breastplate is specially designed to keep your saddle in the right place, no matter what discipline you're competing in. Made of sumptuously soft Italian leather, it offers great durability and flexibility right out of the box.

Very strong elastic straps have been used near the horse's shoulder to reduce restrictions. The shoulders and chest are padded with luxurious wool for added comfort. Removable martingales and neck straps can be used to help keep your horse's head at a controllable height. Two D-rings have been sewn onto the chest strap to allow the martingale to be lowered or training aids to be attached. Finished with premium stainless steel buckles, clips and fasteners. Why use a horse chest protector?

Breastplates are generally used to keep the saddle in the right place and prevent it from sliding backwards. They distribute pressure evenly over the withers and chest, minimizing discomfort for your horse. This breastplate has a removable martingale that can be passed through the reins and used to prevent your horse from lifting his head too much.

Care instructions

To maximize the life of your breastplate and avoid stains, we strongly recommend that you care for the leather after each use.

1. Use warm water on a damp cloth or soft sponge to gently remove dust, dirt and grease from the surface. Be sure to focus on the areas around the buckles and the main points of contact with your horse.

2. We recommend conditioning the leather with a soap/cream sparingly, taking care to rub gently and in a circular motion until all product has been absorbed.

3. Using a clean cloth, wipe excess soap/cream from the surface.

4. Allow the leather to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area away from any direct heat source.
