In addition to the large protective plate, the Kentucky Horsewear spike strap is anatomically shaped to provide comfort and safety when jumping while limiting the risk of injury from horseshoes or spikes. Specially shaped to follow the horse's natural movement, it provides relief for shoulders and elbows. It features a protective EVA interior, elastics on both ends to equalize pressure, as well as three D-rings to hold school supplies and a buckle to attach the breastplate to the girth. The elastics are strong and stay firm because they are three double. This studded strap is made of artificial leather that does not absorb dirt, sweat or water and is therefore more durable. It also does not change color or get damaged easily.
