Opt for elegance and comfort with the Edix Saddles ED2-Rose bitless bridle, ideal for riding thanks to its quality Argentinian leathers.
A beautifully designed and handcrafted side pull bridle EDIX ED2, made from Argentinian leather, from the Rose collection of EDIX products. Leather reins not included!
The special headpiece ensures that the ears experience no pressure, and the trotter strap is positioned to keep the leather away from the eyes. The headpiece and the noseband are lightly padded and oval-shaped for added comfort. The headpiece is adjustable with buckles.
The EDIX ED2 is a side pull bridle, where both reins are attached to rings located on either side of the horse's muzzle. The bridle functions with a direct release of any pressure exerted by the rider through the reins. When you pull on both reins or, more delicately, when you apply slight pressure with both hands on the reins, this pressure is felt on the horse's nose. When you release this pressure on the reins, the pressure instantly disappears from the horse's nose, which is known as a direct release. This is a very clear signal, and most horses, including young horses as well as those accustomed to a bit, do very well with a side pull bridle. By applying pressure to the right rein, the bridle slightly detaches from the cheek, while the opposite side, the left side of the bridle, pushes against the left cheek, which, combined with your aids to balance, allows your horse to lean in the desired direction. The noseband is wide and softly padded, ensuring that the impact on your horse's nose is limited and gentle.
At EDIX, we recommend that you equip your horses with a bridle without a noseband! It is not necessary to have a noseband for the bridle to stay stable on your horse, and by using a bridle without a noseband, you ensure that there is no pressure behind the ears and on the occipital bone.
Moreover, we believe that less is more, and how nice is it to see more of your horse's face without a browband?
The side pull fits like a normal bridle. The noseband should be about four fingers above the horse's mouth. It should be high enough not to rest on the cartilage of the nose or on the ends of the nasal bones themselves. The higher it is placed, the softer the action will be. The chin strap should be raised, but make sure the horse can still comfortably open its mouth without loosening it, otherwise the bridle will start to sag and your cues won't be clear.
The EDIX ED2 bridles are available in 4 colours and 5 sizes and come with refined leather reins. If you prefer another type of reins, mention it when you place your order, you can choose between non-slip reins, leather reins, split reins, and the length is also optional)
If your horse has a different head shape and it is difficult for you to fit it with standard sizes, let us know, we can change the parts for other sizes at no extra cost!
